E-MAIL MANAGEMENT

Keeping up with the daily onslaught of emails is a major challenge for most of us, both personally & professionally. The following tips will help you manage the daily flow of emails:

• Create an electronic filing cabinet, much like the physical cabinets you have, with electronic folders for category names

• Once emails have been read and responded to (if an action is required), move the email from your inbox to your storagge folders. This makes it easy to track which emails still need an action. Many companies impose limits on ?inbox? size. By moving your mail out of your inbox to a personal folder, an added benefit is that the restriction on size will not interrupt your day at precisely the moment you need to send an email.
  Flags
  You see them fluttering away outside garden centres, retail parks as well as stately homes. At the Olympics each individual country is proud to put theirs on display. The last time I built a sandcastle with my daughter on the beach we stuck one in the top of it. I`m referring to Flags and they come in all shapes and sizes depending on what they are to be used for. The Queen has her very own flag on top of Buckingham Palace and it gets raised when she is in residence. Even pirates have their very own flag that displays a skull and crossed bones. If you`d like to put one of the Flags on display you might also like to invest in a flag pole. Then you could raise or lower your flag whenever you liked and it would have the perfect perch to rest upon. You can buy national varieties, regional varieties and military varieties if you like. There are ensign items, plus items for church, to show what faith that you believe in. You see them fluttering away in all types of locations and whether you are from Equatorial Guinea, Estonia or England you`ll be proud to have one of the Flags raised in recognition of the country of your origin.

  Revit Families
  My friend works as a lecturer and trainer on computer aided design and, as such, she trains many architects, designers and engineers on how to improve their designs. One of the more recent technologies to emerge is that of Revit Families. These Revit Families make it much easier to design and, as such, she has a great deal of people wanting training on them. In fact, she is so busy with people asking for help with Revit Families that she has had to employ more staff to deal with the training. This is a really happy situation for her to be in, particularly in the present economic climate and she is really thankful for all the extra work. Last week, she had a training seminar and the room was so packed there were not enough computers for everyone to work on. She realises that she needs to make some changes in order to make sure that situations like this do not happen again. She will be the first to admit that if you do not project the right image in a business then you may ultimately lose a lot since first impressions really do count. With this in mind she is making a few investments to improve the appearance of her training. She does not need to worry about the content as that is already tip top.
